Hello, I’m Mat. I’m a digital artist based in Macclesfield. I specialise in documenting events and moments of significance.
I am a nerd at heart, I love collecting art, technology, and trainers. I spend most of my time in front of a computer screen when I should be mixing with people outdoors.
Sound Soldier Productions is a prototype media label specialising in content creation. It serves as a platform allowing me to release artistic material, and work with like-minded creatives.
I have collaborated with numerous artists, freelancers, and media organisations. I like to involve local creatives, I believe community is something that should be embraced.
Audio

Operating from a garden bunker I produce electronica, and design audio. The Bunker is a studio constructed for the sole purpose of audio production.
In terms of genre, it varies from ambient, downtempo, minimal, soundtrack, or just somewhere in-between.
Video

The majority of videos in the SSP catalogue are community-based documentaries and music videos. These projects are observational, and experimental.
I also work alongside artists, writers, and directors, helping them to create promotional content for social media platforms.
Graphics

I incorporate elements of graphic design into all of my projects. When making an ident for a brand, I always aim to keep everything minimal. It’s force of habit.
I am also a big believer in consistency, and it’s paying attention to the small details that help me to achieve the style I want to go with
Photography

My main style is street, I like to people watch and capture them in their natural environment.
Because I am hyper aware I try to utilise that with my photography. I like to spot moments which amuse me, or I find visually pleasing. And present them as still images.
